Careers issues
This page will highlight (STEM) careers related issues. It also includes a special searchable STEM careers resources widget.
- behr outcomes is a member of the STEM Disability Transition Group which promotes career pathways for disabled students within science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The group held a conference in July 2013 to engage with school, university and employment stakeholders on issues around access, disclosure and employability.
- The National Science Learning Centre published a STEM White Paper in July 2013 which makes recommendations about careers advice provision in schools, including ensuring a governor is made accountable for this key area.
- See also our response to the Education Committee's 2012/13 inquiry into the schools careers service and our mini-research paper on the state of careers advice in a range of schools and post16 providers. Subsequent reports by a range of stakeholders have confirmed many of these issues.
